In May 2024, after a huge grassroots push by Americans for Prosperity Louisiana, the Louisiana state legislature passed SB 313—the LA GATOR Scholarship Program—Louisiana Giving All True Opportunity to Rise. This is a historic step for Louisiana learners.
Louisiana families will soon be in the driver seat of their children’s education thanks to the passage of the LA GATOR scholarship program. By expanding opportunity and allowing funding to follow the child, students will be better served with education opportunities that fit their unique needs.
