Panelists:

  • Casey Mattox - Casey Mattox is Vice President for Legal Strategy at Stand Together and Senior Advisor at Americans for Prosperity. In these roles he advocates for and creates strategies and partnerships to ensure a constitutionally limited government that protects the civil liberties of all Americans. Prior to joining Stand Together and AFP Casey’s legal career focused on defending the First Amendment rights of students, faculty, healthcare workers and religious organizations.
  • Allen Dickerson – Allen Dickerson is a partner at BakerHostetler. He was previously a member of the Federal Election Commission, where he worked across party lines to restore a key regulatory player to functioning order after years of neglect and partisan gridlock. He prioritized developments at the edges of the FEC’s jurisdiction, particularly those cases where federal election rules conflict with broader principles of corporate, administrative, and constitutional law. Before his time on the commission, Allen spent nearly a decade representing organizations across the political spectrum in First Amendment challenges to state and federal laws governing civil society.
  • Erin Hawley - Erin Hawley is Of Counsel at Alliance Defending Freedom. Erin previously oversaw Alliance Defending Freedom’s litigation strategies – including arguing ADF’s most recent Supreme Court victory in First Choice Women's Resource Centers, Inc. v. Platkin. She has argued in state and federal appellate and trial courts throughout the country, including the Supreme Court of the United States defending pregnancy centers’ First Amendment rights from government overreach, and safeguarding Americans’ freedoms from the ever-encroaching administrative state.
  • Walter Olson - Walter Olson is a senior fellow at the Cato Institute’s Robert A. Levy Center for Constitutional Studies and is known for his writing on law, public policy, and regulation. Active on social media, he is known as the founder and principal writer of what is generally considered the oldest blog on law as well as one of the most popular, Overlawyered.com.
